Trauma Therapy

Are you seeking therapy because you experienced a traumatic event and are now experiencing...

  • Flashbacks or intrusive memories of the event

  • Anxiety or panic attacks, especially triggered by reminders of the trauma

  • Difficulty trusting others or forming intimate relationships

  • Feelings of shame, guilt, or self-blame

  • Depression or feelings of hopelessness

  • Emotional numbness or detachment from others

  • Disrupted sleep patterns, including nightmares or insomnia

  • Hypervigilance or heightened awareness of potential threats

  • Avoidance of situations or people that remind you of the assault

  • Using unhealthy/unhelpful ways to cope with the pain

  • Difficulty concentrating or making decisions

  • Changes in appetite or eating habits

  • Physical symptoms such as headaches, stomachaches, or muscle tension

  • Dissociative episodes or feeling disconnected from reality

Trauma such as sexual assault, an unsafe childhood, or a life threatening event can impact every area of your life. Using specialized training in trauma-specific modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), along with empathy, and a judgement free place to process, we can work towards healing.

My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that healing is possible and that you deserve to find safety and to live a full and connected life.
